Beyond the familiar

Some of my favorite memories come from stepping into situations I had never experienced before: up in the air, down under the water, on the land. I'm a big ENTJ but I am super spontaneous when it comes to adventure. I am always down to try something new even if it's last minute, and I am not afraid of the unknown. Day trip to a new country? Sure! 48 hour road trip? I get it! How boring life would be if we only stayed in our comfort zone. The world is much bigger than everyday life.

Adventure
Horse jumping

Horse Jumping

I always had special love for horses. During pandemic, I took up horse jumping lessons and it quickly became one of my favorite activities. I worked with Roman, Leo, Daisy and Brooke over 2 summers, participating in various shows. Why did I stop? Roman passed away eventually due to a tumor on his leg. My heart knew it was time.

Paragliding

Paragliding

Many people love skydiving but I never had interests in free falling. On the other hand, I feel more like a bird paragliding. I feel free. Family did want me to continue paraglding but the 4-time I flu would forever live in my core memory.

Rock climbing

Rock Climing

Do you believe I have a severe fear of height? Half way into the climb, the coach asked me if I could continue, I nodded and I did!

Mountain hiking

Memory Hike

I will never forget this hike. The entire way up and down, we needed to be on our fours to pull ourselves up or move down like a crab. The guide was also yelling at me at least 60% of time as I was too scared to hear anything. When we reached to the bottom, my legs were dead but I was so happy and proud, celebrating with beers and pepsis.

Snorkeling

Snorkeling As A Non-Swimmer

An entirely different world hiding just beneath the surface. My swimming skill is only good enough to keep me afloat in the pool. Somehow I decided to jump into the water on a clip and snorkeling in the ocean (with my double life jackets). Another core memory that I will always cherish.

Flying

Being A Pilot

Literally the first thing I did after coming to the Bay Area. That's also when I discovered I have plane sickness. I still remembered my copilot encouraged me to do flips in the air and I needed to throw up so bad right after in the air but couldn't land hahaha.

Paddle

Paddleboard

I was very surprised how much I enjoyed this activity. I can zoom out just focusing on the water and the sky, and it was so peaceful. I still hope someday I get to paddle along west coast or in Hawaii, that would be a dream come true.
